In the airport terminal
Items that have been lost and found within the airport terminal are stored with our Airport Services team. Submit a lost property form

These items will be disposed of within 48 hours (subject to our discretion):
- Food and non-alcoholic liquid
- Drink and drink containers
- Unsealed alcoholic liquids
- Stationery and pencil cases/colouring-in books
- Any item that might be a biohazard
- Empty, abandoned suitcases
- Passport holders (not passports)
- Neck pillows and bedding
- Medications
- Personal hygiene products, including makeup and toiletry bags
- Bank cards
- Vapes
- Loose adapters and cables
- Miscellaneous
These items are kept for 90 days:
- Keys
- Wallets
- Handbags
- Driver’s licences
- Jewellery and watches
- Mobile phones and electronic equipment
- Prescription glasses and sunglasses
- Cash
- Clothing/shoes/hats
- Prams and car seats
- Miscellaneous
Passports and cash over $10,000 will be handed to Airport Police who can be contacted on +64 3 371 8070.
How to claim lost property
If your item is found, we'll provide you with a reference number. Then you or the person collecting on your behalf will need to present this, along with photo ID, to claim your item.
If you're unable to collect your item, you can send us a pre-paid, self-addressed courier bag, or alternatively you can contact courier company Pack & Send on +64 3 982 7250 or riccarton@packsend.co.nz and provide them with your reference number so they can collect the item for you.
