Funding smart visitor initiatives
One way we’re championing tourism in the South Island is through our New Horizons programme.
Started as part of South, New Horizons helps tourism operators get a valuable hand up to attract and do business with Chinese visitors. Successful New Horizons fund recipients get help with product development, translation, marketing material and mentoring, and travel with us on trade missions to meet influential people in overseas markets.
The latest recipients are Mt Hutt Ski Area, Snow Farm, Cardrona Ski Area, the Alpine Pacific Touring Route, Experience Mid-Canterbury and Destination Marlborough.
