Jetstar has taken that as the sign to return, so from July 1 will offer 75 return flights a week on five domestic routes.

Chief Aeronautical and Commercial Officer Justin Watson says Jetstar’s return is great news.

“We look forward to more connections to Auckland and Wellington,” he says. “We know the airline will monitor demand, and that people are keen to travel again, so we anticipate more flights in the near future.

“The sale prices are amazing! $21 from Christchurch to Auckland will certainly get people excited.”
